255 entries in our dataset are marked as Museum Pass (Müzekart) valid: 157 museums and 98 archaeological sites in 58 provinces. Izmir (24) and Antalya (21) have the most.
The Müzekart is the entry card for museums and sites run by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism; visitors from abroad use the Museum Pass versions of it. The badge comes from Wikidata records listing the Ministry as operator or owner, from entries whose official website is on muze.gov.tr, and from the most visited places we checked by hand. The list can therefore be incomplete, and some sections of certain sites are not covered; those are in the box below. Always confirm on the official list.

What is the Müzekart (Museum Pass)?
The Müzekart is a personal card that gives entry to museums and archaeological sites run by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism for as long as the card is valid. Card types, who can buy which card and the validity rules change from time to time, so follow the current details on muze.gov.tr.
Where does the Museum Pass work?
At museums and sites run by the Ministry. Municipal, university, foundation and corporate museums, and places run by a separate administration, are usually not covered. The list on this page applies that rule to our data; confirm on the official list whether a specific place is included.
How is the Museum Pass badge on this site decided?
It comes from three sources: Wikidata records that list the Ministry of Culture and Tourism or one of its units as operator or owner, entries whose official website is on muze.gov.tr, and a manual check of the most visited places. The full method is on the Methodology page.
Are some sections not covered by the pass?
Yes. At some museums and sites certain sections or temporary exhibitions are not included and need a separate ticket. We show the exceptions we know of in the box above and as a note on the museum's page. Exceptions change, so confirm at the ticket office or on the official site.
Can visitors from abroad use it?
Visitors who do not live in Türkiye can buy Museum Pass versions of the card. Some cover the whole country, others a single region. Which museums each pass covers and how long it lasts are published on the official site; check that the places you plan to visit are included before you buy.
Who gets free or discounted entry?
Ministry museums offer free or discounted entry to certain age and professional groups. Those groups and the documents required are updated from time to time, so we do not list them here. Check the current notice on muze.gov.tr and bring your ID or documents to the ticket office.
Where can I buy one?
At the ticket offices of Ministry-run museums and sites, and through the Ministry's official sales channels. Current sales points and online steps are on muze.gov.tr. If you buy through a third party, make sure the card is issued through the official channel.
Can the pass work at a museum without the badge?
It can. The badge only appears where our data shows a Ministry link or where we checked by hand, so some Ministry museums may be missing it. If you find one, tell us through the Contact page and we will fix it in the next update.
