This data comes from volunteer mappers and is missing for most museums, so not being on this list does not mean a place is inaccessible. An "accessible" tag usually describes the entrance and main exhibition space and may not cover every floor or the toilets. Call ahead to ask about ramps, lifts and parking.

What is the difference between accessible and partly accessible?
On OpenStreetMap, wheelchair=yes means the entrance and main areas can be used in a wheelchair without help; wheelchair=limited means only some areas are reachable or help is needed. We list the two separately.
Does missing from this list mean inaccessible?
No. Most museums have no accessibility information on OpenStreetMap at all. Being absent means the information is missing. Call the museum ahead to be sure.
How reliable is the data?
It comes from volunteers' on-site observations and can go out of date: a ramp may have been added or a lift may be out of order. That is why we recommend checking before your visit.
