Most archaeology museums sit in provincial capitals and walk you through local finds in date order, from Neolithic pottery to Roman sculpture and Byzantine coins. Many mounds and tumuli are open ground with little standing structure, so set expectations accordingly. Ancient cities have their own category. Check the hours table on each museum page and the official site before you set off.
