Ancient cities in Türkiye

This page lists 1,013 ancient cities and city ruins in Türkiye: settlements you can visit for their theatres, agoras, temples and walls. They are spread over 65 provinces, with the most in Antalya (101) and Muğla (100).

Most ancient cities are open-air sites spread over large areas. Bring good shoes, water and a hat, and in summer plan your walk for the morning or late afternoon. Some have a ticket office and a marked visitor path; others are unmarked ruins among fields. The badges on each card and the hours on the museum page show which ones run as regular visitor sites.
